Marriage and family therapist
Sierra Bond, MS, LMFT
Welcome! If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you've come to the right place. I know the decision to begin therapy can be intimidating but taking care of your mental health is essential. While you may not be able to control everything that happens to you, I will help spark change in your life and support you in managing life's stressors by exploring your history to uncover patterns, deepen your awareness, and develop new ways to manage unpleasant emotions. I believe that a positive therapeutic relationship is vital to creating the trust and safety that is necessary to be vulnerable and do the work that therapy requires. My priority is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable showing up as your authentic self.
I recognize that you are the expert of your story and draw from a client-centered model to personalize treatment. My sessions are guided by a combination of approaches which includes emotionally-focused therapy, systems therapy, and narrative therapy. I incorporate mindfulness, nature therapy, and mind-body connection practices to help my clients trust what their bodies are telling them, broaden their perspective, and feel grounded.
I find profound joy in witnessing adolescents, adults, and families overcome hardships in a meaningful way and learn to embrace life's ups and downs. I am passionate about coming alongside adolescents as they navigate a unique time of changes, self-discovery, and growth. I believe in the importance of family involvement and am devoted to acting as a neutral third party to treat the whole family while acknowledging that each person is distinctively individual. Though I work with clients on many different issues, it is deeply fulfilling to work with those suffering through grief, experiencing life transitions, struggling with self-esteem and perfectionism, or people with histories of trauma.
In my spare time, I spend moments recharging with my loved ones, including my husband and 3 fur babies. I find pleasure in cooking, traveling, expressive arts, reading, and outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and kayaking. It is an honor to be a part of each of my clients' journeys of self-exploration, and I am grateful to be considered to join you in this work.
